Buffalo Division Civil Rights Conference
Today, Laurie J. Bennett, Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Buffalo Field Office, announces the FBI's Buffalo Office will host a Civil Rights Conference on Friday, March 23, 2007. The conference will be held from 9:00AM to 12:30PM in the auditorium of Erie Community College, City Campus, 122 Ellicott Street, Buffalo, New York. This Civil Rights Conference is designed to promote a partnership between the FBI and the community through the education of law enforcement, civil rights leaders, health care professionals, community leaders, and community organizers about the FBI's role in civil rights cases.
Representatives from the FBI Headquarters Civil Rights Unit and New York Office will provide an overview of the FBI's Civil Rights Program and investigative priorities. They will also discuss current trends and provide a case presentation.
Members of the media are welcome to attend the entire conference or portions thereof. SAC Bennett will be available for questions and answers prior to the conference at 8:45AM.
